When two thugs abduct an advertising executive in the belief that he is a government agent, in a world where the agent was invented as a decoy and never existed at all, an ordinary man framed for a murder at the United Nations must run the length of the country — flushed into the open by a crop-duster, betrayed in a sleeper car — before the men who want him dead reach him or the woman he has fallen for is exposed.
