Getting started
Register
You’ll get your login by email and you’re set to post. Because the site is free, you’ll also get the odd email from our sponsor, The Story Department (that’s me, Karel Segers). Mostly informative, never obliged to buy anything.
Learn how to logline
A logline isn’t just any one-sentence summary. Learn our formula first; it’s the format the whole site runs on.
Give and take
Review at least two loglines
RequiredOnce you’ve posted your own, comment on at least two from other writers. Your gut response is enough; you don’t need authority. With tens of thousands of reviews already on the site, you’ll get a feel for what’s useful fast.
Take feedback seriously too; reviewers give you their time for free.
Submit your logline
Post your logline: title, film or show, done. Posting is how you give back, not just take.

- No reposts — use the comments
Pick a favourite comment
When a comment genuinely helps, mark it as your favourite. It earns the commenter brownie points, and everyone likes those.
