When word spreads that a tiger who loathes men has come back to the valley, in a world where a boy raised by wolves has never met another human and has no wish to, a panther charged with walking him to the man-village must get him there past a hypnotising python, a swinging ape king and the boy’s own refusal to go, before the tiger reaches him first.
