      My take, 3 words longer:

After thugs urinate on his beloved rug in a case of mistaken identity, an affable stoner gets embroiled in a kidnapping caper when all he wants is a new rug.
      (30 words)

This movie raises a question in my mind:? if the script for the Big L had been written by an outsider with no credentials, no representation, no track record, would it have gotten a reading no matter how well-crafted the logline?? And if the script got read, would anyone have been willing to put up the money, assemble the talent to produce it?

Good question, DPG. One we can?ask about pretty much every Coen Brothers movie…

All their movies are exceptionally well executed, though.

Agreed with the comments above, I think it’s safe to say that their cult following will retain the studio’s interest in their work for years to come.

I would ad in an element to raise the stakes by mentioning the German Anarchists who threaten his life.
      I.e:
After thugs urinate on his beloved rug in a case of mistaken identity, an affable stoner gets embroiled in a kidnapping caper he must solve to prevent the murderous kidnapper coming after him.
