And then what? ?The logline sets up the situation and inciting incident for a plot. ?But it does not fulfill the primary mission of a logline which is to sketch a complete plot. ?A complete plot is one that ?explicitly includes the protagonist’s objective goal, his game plan and at least implicitly includes the stakes.
So, as a result of his discovery (and the usual practice is to not name ?fictional characters in loglines), what becomes the protagonist’s objective goal? ?What is the “or-else” — the stakes? ?What does he (personally) stand to lose if he fails?
