      You lost me after “…sells his Down Syndrome baby on the spare parts black market for a new electric clarinet…” there is no coming back from that – the MC should rot in jail for the rest of his life, only to be swiftly followed by a painful eternity in hell, if it exists in this story world (which hopefully it does…).

      In order for this concept to be taken seriously, fix the above before anything else is touched.
