I can see what the story is. ?But I have a question. ?Does he want to be the Don? ?Is it thrust upon him? What is the competition, it sounds like an event? ?I may approach it like this.

A teenager is wrongly transferred to a school for criminals. ?Desperate to just survive, he develops skills and a network that will see him become the next Don.

Is it a “normal” school that teaches its students to be criminals, or is the teen sent to a juvie hall, or whatever the correct term is? Either version is interesting in its own way.

If it’s a “normal” school where all teachers, students, and parents are involved in organized crime and the authorities hasn’t caught on? Or the parents and teachers have the authorities in their pocket, as it were? This is where I could see it being a comedy.
If it’s a detention center for juvenile delinquents, and he’s sent there because someone makes a clerical error, thinking it’s an ordinary boarding school? This one would be a bit more gritty, and realistic, with more of the typical prison movie tropes.
