      What I mean is simple, why does it matter that this man’s son is killed?
      So is the president the MC?

      Yeah, so what? ?What is the plot that arises out of killing the son? ?Who is the protagonist and what becomes his objective goal?

      When America is pushed to the brink of civil war by a corrupt government and terrorism, a president is forced to take drastic nuclear action, but in doing so kills the child of a retired government assassin. The assassin will have his bloody revenge.

      ‘The worlds most deadly assassin comes out of retirement to avenge his son killed by a nuclear blast ordered?by the president of the USA.’ ?or ‘The worlds deadliest assassin come out of retirement to kill the President of the USA who?ordering the nuclear blast that killed the assassin’s?son.’

      The reason for the blast may be weaved back in. ?But this is the core of the story in its raw form.
