I?ve seen early versions of this line. You have mountains of setup and nearly nothing about the story. ?Confront her past? is vague and ?unravel? is the same, but these are the story. Plus I am assuming it?s modern day.
If her entire family is missing, how is important. What she hopes to achieve by unraveling her dad criminal history is important. Here?s a line which probably isn?t your story, but my guess.
Decades after her family disappears a woman discovers her father was involved in an international jewellery heist. Her discovery triggers corrupt government agents willing to kill for the location of the loot.
Years after the disappearance of her family a woman discovers clues to the location of the loot from her father?s jewel heist, she outsmart a corrupt government official who is also after the jewels.
Up against an entire Government feel strange. It will eventually come down to her versus a government official.
What’s her motive?? To grab the jewels for herself?? Or to restore them to the rightful owner?
