When a dying alien’s ring picks a reckless test pilot, he must find the nerve an entire corps says he lacks.

Longer logline

When a dying member of an intergalactic police force crashes on Earth and his ring chooses a cocky test pilot with a habit of walking away, in a world where an ancient thing that feeds on fear has already killed the man he is replacing, a flyer who has never finished anything must convince himself first and thousands of others second, before what is coming for his city arrives.
