    I definitely think the first one is very intriguing, and it draws you in as there are a lot of unknowns, but perhaps there are too many unknowns? the second one provides a clearer look into the context of the story, and makes me more interested to see what happens to the character on his journey throughout his own nightmares, it allows me to imagine myself in his position which piques my curiosity in the story.
