In the end Danny must be brave and convince his mom that dad is crazy and that they both have to run for their lives before his father really kills them.

But through meeting strangers he comes to the realisation that his anger is also what had prevented him to find happiness back home, he ends up all alone in an abandoned bus cutting into its? wall the words, “Happiness can only be shared” as his last words while watching out over his last sun set to be with a smile on his lips.
