Steve

Steve

Steven Bloome is a Chicago native who first satisfied his entertainment calling on stage with The Second City School of Improvisation in 1980-1981.

From 1982-1985, Steve was part of The Mixed Nuts Improv and Comedy Troupe, a team of quick-witted knuckleheads who went undefeated in the Chicago Improv Olympics all four years in which they competed.

Never resting for a moment, he chose to throw himself in front of a live audience without the safety net of an ensemble, and pursued stand-up comedy in clubs around the Chicago area.

Steve has been in numerous TV commercials, industrial films and several movies.
In 1986, Steve took the leap from being in front of the camera, to being behind it. He wrote, co-produced and hosted a 31 episode television series called No Longer The Victim, which was the 3rd top rated program for GroupW Cable's broadcast one in their Chicago suburban markets.

His most recent production gig was at Telecast Production Group was as 'Senior Programming Producer of Creative Development for Series Television', (where he begged for a shorter title!). He sold, wrote and co-produced over 20 episodes of The New Competitors, a paid for TV program broadcast nationwide on the CNBC network.
He was also a co-producer on American Made, a TV pilot hosted by Commander James Lovell (Apollo 13), as well as Passport to Global Business and The City Series.

Steve is currently following his first love of writing fresh, award-winning sitcom pilots and screenplays. He loves being a riter? a wryter? a writer(!!!) and has chosen to focus on that as his career in the industry. His work has won or placed in many contests such as The Cinema City Int?l Film Festival, The Hollywood Scriptwriting Institute Screenplay Competition, BlueCat Screenplay Competition, The People?s Pilot, Talent Scout and Hollywood?s Next Success to name a few.

Steve lives in the Chicago area, with his wife, Colleen. Steve is a gourmet cook. (Get to know him... He?ll feed you really well!) Steve is also a 2nd degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and enjoys SCUBA, herb gardening, baseball, volunteer work at local hospitals and any activity that brings him, his wife and their friends together.
