Was he transported to 2112, already establishing a sci-fi element? Or is this a new story? Overall, I think you could get your three sentences down to one by eliminating repetition. This sounds a lot like the stage play “We Will Rock You.” Personally, the Rush songs are not relatable to me but if this was a favorite band of mine, maybe it would hit more? Either way, this sounds like a great story for older rock fans. You would have to target very specifically when querying.
It starts in 2112.
Thanks for responding!
This might work. It obviously isn’t a normal logline but I do see where you are going.
Doing the ABBA treatment to Rush
I wish I could edit.
I said ABBA treatment but I think perhaps more along the lines of “Heavy Metal” (The animated movie) to Rush songs.
Agreed, beware OP – the lawyer “Eye of Sauron” is gazing upon your logline đ
Could you please elaborate?
Thereâs a song called âHome by the Seaâ by the band Genesis â Google it or listen to its ghostly lyrics. So, I had this great idea of making a horror short with the same song name based on its premise. A buddy of mine whoâs an independent filmmaker mentioned âYea, you canât do that without some sort of permissionâ Long story short, after weeks of legalese rabbit holes as a noob, I figured the best bet was to hire council.
