2?closeted gay?gang?bangers?in East LA - ?one black one Mexican,???fight to?make a life together?amidst?the chaos and violence of their warring factions.

Does this take place in Mexico? Does it take place in modern times or in the past?

You describe two goals - expose the secret and free the slaves. I suggest you focus on freeing the slaves, no amount of exposure poses a risk anymore to a person who's not a celebrity. Freeing slaves is a long-standing goal throughout story history and will likely never lose it's appeal.

Secondly, what does "...a racist community..." mean? Does it matter whether it's racist or not? They're slave traders, their values and ethics are skewed regardless their bigotry. Why not focus on the MC fighting slavery alone?

For example:
After a niave boy develops a crush on a girl held as a slave by his family, he must free her and her parents before they are sold.
