An alcoholic blue’s player sells his soul for fame and money. Each day that goes by, the people around him die. The blue’s player is killing the people around him without even knowing it.

I think that the blues culture element and selling out your soul are very complementary to each other. You have the main character, an interesting issue, but seem to be lacking a solution to the problem. Does he have to find a way to void his contract? Or outsmart the Devil? I think that's where you will find your high concept idea.
