An African girl on her way to the US for further studies is apprehended at JFK with a satchet of narcotics that had been planted in her luggage in London. She has no clue how the drugs crept into her luggage so she professes her innocence. Faced with the prospect of life in prison, she appeals to the NAACP and Women’s Rights Groups to come to her defence against a prosecutor that is bent on ensuring her incarceration as part of the new US administration’s determination to fight the drugs menace. In the suing court drama, a previously out of sorts lawyer becomes the hero in his game of wits with the prosecutor as the case takes on racial twist.
