Sounds fun, since FAM genre – consider the following:
1. Who is this boy and what was the circumstance the upended his balance?
2. When the boy teams up with his friends – does that form something with a cool name e.g., “World Warriors!” Cheesy I know – you get the point 😉.
3. Is there a fun way or mysterious location to “cross dimensions”?
4. Hard to envision what “merging” will look like on-screen, think of the goal of your baddie and use that.

Why is (whatever he’s working on) his last battle against the critics? Is he terminally ill and dying? If so, then you could also mention that it gives your logline a ticking timebomb. And who’s the main antagonist here? Is it the critics or his best friend? What did his best friend do that the writer is so against him?
