An ambitious young actor begins a passionate love affair with a washed-up but wealthy older actress, however, her family suspect he’s a gold-digger and set out to undermine his career.
I like the idea. I think the family, rather than think he's a gold-digger, think he's just trying to take advantage of her to advance his career. This can include using her money but I think it's important, since you've called him 'ambitious', for that ambition to be outwardly visible by his family.Read more

This can include using her money but I think it’s important, since you’ve called him ‘ambitious’, for that ambition to be outwardly visible by his family. It makes total sense for them to be wary plus, since we’re not including the ending, it also makes the audience ask the question “is he just using her?” – that, to me, is interesting.
The only other thing I wonder, is how the family can undermine his career. I think it would be better if they try and stop the relationship at every turn. This in turn causes problems for his career. That makes more sense to me.
Hope this helps.

I think the premise could be an intriguing one... but I think it's vague at the moment as to what's happening and why: How did he discover he has a son? ? Is the peril because the ex-partner has discovered he has a son? Why is he exiled? Is he saving the son or the abandoned family (or both)? ?If heRead more

Possible title: Dead Weight
What is actually this girl’s disability? I think in order to understand the situation this is important. It is the one thing that determines how much she is physically able to do. Without this “rely on her physical abilities” means nothing as we don’t know what she’s capable of. FWIW, I think if she has full use of her upper body but can’t use her legs it would work really well. Everyone makes jokes about how easy it is to outrun zombies (Romero zombies – lurchers) and she’s at a sort of advantage having wheels but only on the flat or downhill and only while she has her wheelchair. The “all is lost” bit is dead easy – she loses her wheelchair… or even her legs completely…?
I’m guessing this is about a girl learning to not be defined by her disability? Is she acting on her own the whole film? I feel like she needs someone to talk to?
What’s the inciting incident that kicks off the plot? What happens that means she MUST go and save them? Are there more zombies than the ones pinning her friends down? Is it a zombie apocalypse?
I have the same questions as TrixieG in addition to these ones. I love a good zombie movie and I think this has potential. I think you may have to be careful in the portrayal of the protagonist though. I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to save them inspite of her disability. She needs to be the only one who can save them because of her disability.
Hope this helps.
