When a malfunctioning nuke triggers a landslide and traps a plane crash survivor underground, he must lead panicky rocket scientists back to the nuke before it detonates.

To that matter I recall the production designer that designed the bomber in Doctor Strangelove, saying that years after the film’s release he met a real life veteran of the air force who specifically told him that he got the interior of the bombers right almost to the finer detail of the analogue code machine. Point is, that despite the interior design of these aircraft being top-secret, through rigorous research, the art department was able to imbue a tremendous amount of realism in the scene which clearly helped make the film as suspenseful and funny as it is.
Perhaps the logic flaw here is a problem, and best to re locate the MC and scientist inside a nuke silo to get around it.

“Financially debilitated” is awkward. ?He’s unemployed and broke, right?
Also, first you say he is assaulted then that he’s going to blackmail the perp, a ?crazy scammer. ?Well, which is it? ?Was he assaulted or scammed? ?Who is his antagonist?
And please clarify “YouTube prankster”. ?What does that mean? ?That he posts videos of real-life situations where innocent, unsuspecting victims get punk’d? ?If that is the case, it’s kind of hard to sympathize with him. ?Seems like he got some “street justice” for the way he treated others. ?He’s sort of a tepid anti-hero character.
Also, his motivation is a “selfie” : ?he’s only acting for his own narrow?interests. ?While getting revenge is a reliable motive, usually a protagonist ?who starts out as an anti-hero redeems himself by acting for a principled reason, too, for something other than his selfish self, ?say for a stakes character who has likewise been victimized by the antagonist.

See lessWhen an amnesiac civilian is framed for massacring cops in a drug bust, he runs from bloodthirsty DEA agents to investigate his past and clear his name.
Agreed with the above comment. How exactly will he clear his name? How does he know he was framed if he suffers from amnesia?
