    Nice. You've included a flaw for the MC and her predicament/story world in a way that shows how they will be in conflict. And even managed to squeeze in the stakes.

    What is the event that kicks off this story that upsets the status quo? Is it just that she gives birth?

    Is the series engine really just “a woman has a baby and life is difficult”?

    I think you've bullseyed the series engine. I'd just want to give it a polish on word choice, but all of that is up to personal preference anyway!
