Jinn – also romanized as djinn or anglicized as a genie (with the broader meaning of spirit or demon, depending on the source) – are supernatural creatures in early pre-Islamic Arabian religious systems and later in Islamic mythology and theology.
Demon:
A demon is a supernatural entity, typically associated with evil, prevalent historically in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, mythology, and folklore.
William Starr lives in Dubai along with his rich family and their servants. Billy is possessed by a Jinn and a Demonic Entity who followed him all the way from New York. Billy gets ill without any doctor being able to determine the cause of his illness. He’s losing weight quickly. Strange things start happening in Billy’s house until one of the servants who is known to be a medium finds out about the possession and it turns out Billy needs an exorcism, both by a priest, to get rid of the demon and an Islamic scholar, to get rid of the Jinn.
“When a young boy is possessed by both a Jinn and a Demon, a priest and an Islamic scholar are forced to work together before the entities destroy the kid.”
Thank you Richiev. Your version is much more professional. It sounds like a real logline now.
Good story concept. Great log line thanks to Richiev’s help. I’d watch this.
