Looks like an interesting drama. ?? Do you mean “sour”?? I’d mention the marriage first – keep it chronological.? Then mention the alcohol concealment, but also tell us why she must hide it.? I’m guessing it’s for professional reasons since she’s a counselor, but give us more = stakes!

Wouldn’t her marriage falling apart do more to hurt her business, since she is a family councilor, than her drinking problem?

That being said, this sounds like it has the potential to be a great story. A family councilor who struggles in her own personal life. Probably make a great TV series.

Best to define when the story starts, for example:
After her marriage breaks down, an alcoholic marriage councillor must conceal her divorce from her clients in order to keep her practice.

As mentioned the stakes seem a little low, what if she was trying to hide the divorce from her kids in order to prevent any emotional trauma? This way the stakes characters are personal and not just business.
