      I think it’s a really interesting concept, ?but I believe there should be a stronger causal link between the inciting incident, action and outcome.
      But in saying that, the inciting incident isn’t quite clear. In my opinion the father losing his powers should be the inciting incident, his action is to recover them in order to help his daughter to control her emerging powers she inherited from him. ?The stakes however, don’t appear to be too threatening. Why is it a huge deal that his daughter’s power has awakened? Surely she’d be able to control them with some practice like her father presumably has? ?Just my thoughts, though. Thanks for sharing 🙂

      What ever event it was that made the father realize his daughter has the power, needs to be described in the logline as that is the inciting incident. What ever it is he has to do as a result, needs to be described in the logline as it is the goal.

      One question, if there is a man who disabled his ability… wouldn’t the goal be to find the man and have him disable the ability in the lead’s daughter?

      What is the purpose is of reawakening his ability, instead of disabling the ability in his daughter, that isn’t clear from the way your logline is worded.

      The problem I foresee here is that the father would not be convinced enough to seek out an exorcist by the beginning of act 2. ?Usually in horror movies the father doesn’t finally accept the paranormal until at least the mid point if not the Dark Night Of The Soul scene that takes us into the third act.

      The problem in ghost stories is that the audience doesn’t believe in ghosts from the outset, so we need more than one act to get used to the idea and start believing.

      The movie?Insidious deals with a father dealing with ghosts – then finding out he has a forgotten past as a psychic late in the second act. Paranormal Activity’s female lead doesn’t mention she has dealings with ghosts in the past until the midpoint.
