I think it’s a pretty good logline as is, as well as an interesting concept. My initial concern is the tension. I think you’ll need to ramp it up some by making the stakes higher, i.e. life and death. Stalkers are not necessarily violent. If this particular stalker has a history of killing others, it would crank it up some. Has a hint of familiarity with Jodie Foster’s “Panic Room”, but the airing it on live TV takes it up a notch.

      I’d see it. Good job!

I think what’s missing is why recording him matters. “But when the stalker realizes he’s on camera…” or something in that arena is missing.

Also are there really “hotshot reality TV cameramen?” And, who is the stalker stalking? If its the cameraman, that seems unlikely. In that case, it might more sense if the reality hotshot is someone who produces and hosts his own show and has his team install the cameras.

I’ve been trying to think of a different way to describe this guy. Hotshot never felt right to me, so thanks for affirming that. I said hotshot to convey some aspects of him (arrogance, competence in his field, willing to break rules, etc.) but probably no the most important one, which is a disregard for the privacy of the people on the show. I’ll need to think that over.

Thank you for your comment! Even though there is a steady elevation in my actual story, the stakes are definitely missing from this logline, so thanks. Back to the drawing board!
