Action/Comedy: A Jewish-American ambassador discovers he fathered a son with a young Mexican woman twelve years ago. After the mother’s death from kidney failure, the boy is raised by his gay uncle and his uncle’s husband. When the boy suffers the same illness his mother died from, the foster parents seek out the American as a kidney donor. The ambassador arrives in Mexico City to meet him only to find the ailing boy has been kidnapped by a ruthless drug lord who also claims to be the boy’s father. The three men must join forces along with the zany members of their families to rescue the ambassador’s son before time runs out and the boy dies from his illness.

Sure is tough to get a logline on this one under 30 words lol, a lot to this story.
Here is an attempt:
—–
“When their adopted son is kidnapped by a ruthless drug lord who claims to be the kid’s real father, a gay couple and the child’s biological dad team up to rescue the boy from the criminal’s seemingly impregnable compound.”
(Perhaps add, before the kid dies from kidney failure, but that would really make the logline long)
Possible Title: Mission Improbably
Oops, I misspelled that,
Mission Improbable
Yes. I think the title needs reworking. The original concept centered on the Jewish ambassador’s marriage to a gentile woman, which is just a bit of exposition in the final story. I like your suggestion of “Mission Improbable.” I’ll be considering it as I move closer to shopping it.
