Thanks for the feedback. Your insight has helped me figure out that there are two things which my log line is telling which I do not wish to ?intend:
1. LOSER – Father is very hard working but is unsuccessful in his profession.
2. SUPERHERO STORY – Superhero story is not for his ego boast but those stories were meant to educate (both academically and morally) his kids. But they took it too seriously.
Thanks.
Dpg’s version is great. I don’t think you should add the wife unless she plays a key role, such as motivating him somehow. I think that the situation highlights his flaw, that he lied to his children, he felt the need to turn himself into an actual superhero in their eyes.
It seems to me to that it’s already implied that he’s loser that he resorts to lying to his children. ? One concern I have about the premise is the role of the mother. ?Does she and why would she play along with his deception?
DPG nailed it.
If this is a comedy there are not further productive notes, however if this is a drama then the father’s flaw needs elaborating on.
After his children are kidnapped, a father struggles to rescue them by living up to the lie he has told them, that he’s a superhero.
