It is about his struggle to make his wife happy, when what she wants is for him to do what he wants. Which is for her to be happy, but she is too sad. Their relationship goes in circles until they realise they is no joy to be had and just go home to be with each other.

It’s an Inspiring idea
For logline format (not that it matters..)
“After realizing he has one year to fulfill his wife?s bucket list, a retired accountant struggles to stretch their time together as she is too sad to enjoy the experience”
Good Luck 🙂
This might work better if the wife was the lead character
“…A man is informed he has one year to decides to do everything on his wife?s bucket list to maximise their time together, but she is to sad to enjoy the experience…”
According to the logline he has one year to decide. Is this the film going to be about him deciding? It would be better if the story follows him completing the bucket list.
That said, this is very/too similar to The Bucket List. The husband and wife relationship seems like the only distinguishing element.
What’s stopping him from completing the whole list? Where’s the conflict going to come from?
When his loving wife is given a year to live, a hard-working but penniless man must find more and more inventive ways to ensure his wife ticks everything off her bucket list.
I like the bucket list idea but, as Nir pointed out, it’s very similar to The Bucket List. Maybe make it about the guys quest to make his wife’s dreams come true and in the end, she stops him because she’s realised that all she wants is to spend time with him.
“A? man is informed ” is vague for a description of the inciting incident that triggers the ticking clock.? What, exactly, is the bad news?? I ‘m guessing she been given a fatal diagnosis.? But I shouldn’t have to guess.? The logline should, uh,? inform me.
And I like Richiev’s idea of the wife being the lead.? Pursuing her bucket list in spite of her depression makes for a more interesting character. She takes charge of her own life.

I screwed up and missed a few words. But all your comments have been thought provoking
