Hello, this is too vague for me… “circumstances”…”man”… “society’s rules”… ?Was the main character living in an underground bunker, was he the simple minded gardener facing the death of his master? there’s a hundred movies in this blueprint for a logline.

As FFF said. ?Too vague. ?like what are the specific circumstances that forced him to live on his own? ?Like the death of his parents, and there are no next of kin willing to take care of him.

And FFF’s allusion to the plot of “Being There” is apt. ?The movie is more than just ?a story about a mentally and socially retarded man who must find his way in the world after his master’s death. ? ?That’s ?merely a means to the real purpose of the plot: ?a parody on the media and politics of its time. The conceit — the hook — is that a dull-minded gardener whom nobody has heard of becomes an ?celebrated economic guru. His advice on gardening is mistaken by the President of the United States as sage counsel on economic policy. ?Hilarity ensues.
