Okay. Thanks everyone. I’ll see what I can do.
Valid points by dpg and Ckharper. A ‘reformed sex addict’ is a better way to let us care about what happens to him.
What makes it a thriller? Is it what happens when he returns to his old psychiatrist? That’s something we know nothing about. Suggesting her goal would tell us about the nature of his obstacle.
A reformed sex addict can?t bring himself to have sex with the one woman he?s truly in love with, so he seeks help from a former psychiatrist?but maybe she?s the problem.
>>>psychologically unable to have sex
Which manifests as a physical symptom — he? can’t rise to the occasion..? So just say he can’t have sex or that he’s impotent.? Tell it like it is.
>>>has come close
But not close enough!
Others’ mileage may vary, but I am skeptical, unable to buy into the premise that a twisted and manipulative shrink can cure what ails him. The saying, “Physician heal thyself” applies.? If she can’t mend her own psyche, how can she mend his (having failed before)?
