We need to know how how the experiment went so wrong and how exactly it leaves him “broken and hurt” such that he MUST look for a new place to to live and belong. Why can’t he just start over where he is?
And what makes it a sci-fi? genre story?
You should present what goes wrong: is the scientist paraplegic or has he gain some sort of inexplicable power? What’s the gender of the scientist?
The first part of the logline and the last part of the logline do not really connect.
If the goal for the lead character is to find a place where he can belong. Then the beginning of the logline should be about how he ended up lonely.
Here would be an example of how the beginning of a logline would match the end of the logline
Yours would be different of course:
——————————————–
“After his girlfriend dumps and all their friend’s side with her, a lonely scientist looks for a new town where he can start a new life and find love again.”
This could be the premise of every Spiderman villain’s backstory.
I agree. Make it specific!
What exactly does broken and hurt mean?? Is it physical, mental or emotional?? What did he loose by becoming physically, mentally or emotionally broken?? Family?? Did he become disabled?? What was the loss here?
