After an outsider college clique finds that a young magic poet can write love poems that make every woman fall in love with them, they kidnap the guy, only to find out that real love has to be mutual.

      You need a lead character, And the lead character needs to be in head over heels in love. That love should mean the entire world to the lead character

      And also, for this logline/story to work, the audience needs to feel that love. It has to come across

      Then the audience will sort of understand why the lead character who is love-struck might kidnap the poet.

      Because there is a real-world consequence for kidnapping.? You have to make it believable that someone is so in love they risk years in prison just to win the love of their life.

      Also, don’t tell us the ending in the logline.

      One more thing, if you want to go the ‘other’ direction with this movie. Then you should use the word, ‘attraction’ and not ‘love’

      In other words, the poet can make it so the opposite sex is ‘attracted’ to you. They will fawn over every word, even sleep with you.

      But he can’t make them fall in love with you.

      So, you can have all meaningless sex you want, but you can’t have true love.

      True love needs free will.

      In this scenario. The lead would think all he wants is every girl he meets to want him, but what he finds he really needs is true love.

      However, this scenario has a very big problem. Because the lead character is basically giving the girls a magical rufie, and the story would have serious “Me Too’ issues.

      I suggest the premise be re-engineered from top to bottom.

      It’s not magic.? The poet has? a natural gift for writing poems that make women swoon.? But he is utterly tongue-tied in face-to-face encounters.

      He’s not kidnapped.? Rather he monetizes his gift via a web service. He writes prose and poems for lonely hearts on web dating sites.? It’s a lucrative gig.

      And then (inciting incident) he falls hopelessly in love with one of women a client has hired him to woo.

      IOW: do an updated version of the Cyrano de Bergerac story.

      Title: Love me Tinder

      (Or reverse it so the lead is a shy woman who has a good looking roommate if you would prefer a female protagonist)
