So, you want me to watch a disobedient sniper running through some war zone while carrying a baby? I’d pass, sorry.

      >>>a raging Civil War

Where?? Africa, the Middle East, Latin America?? If this story setting is plausible, this might work.

      I like the concept.
you can up the ante with the sniper being responsible for the infant’s parents death. When going into the premises to confirm the kill, he/she discovers the infant who will die without assistance. Rescue of the infant is denied, that lead to delay and the failure of the extraction. Now the baddies are in hot pursuit. The mission is now evade and survive.
To go even bigger, we can make the infant the grand child of the uber baddie.
you can have action and emotional moments. Maybe we learned via flashback (when the sniper sleeps and dreams about it) why saving the baby is so important.

When a Rangers sniper disobey a direct order to leave an abandoned infant alone in the middle of civil war zone, they must now evade deadly mobs and survive across a desert to reach safety.
