The economy of your words will not only help sell the concept but you as a writer as well – at 45 words this logline is way too long. I take it you didn’t study the ‘Formula’ tab on the top bar, best you do.

Here is a shorter version of the same logline:
After his mother is diagnosed with cancer, a promising med student must compete in a reality show for one million dollars to pay for her chemo.

      27 words.

I?m also for more concise, the example above, plus the risk of death? Are there some meaty adjective about the med student? ????

He is billed as a promising med student who can’t help his own mother medically, but rather playing in a game of death instead? I guess his med skills aren’t too good.

I like the implied conflict between the med student’s future career as a doctor juxtaposed to his lack of faith in the very healthcare system that would sustain him. As others have said, logline is a bit wordy, but that’s an easy fix. Interesting and timely concept!
