After years of pent-up anger, a reckless young offender is pushed into the world of boxing and excels anyone’s expectations, but to become a true champion she must face the demons in her past.

A coming-of-age sports drama set during the 2010s in East London. It chronicles the story of Kelly Walker and her relationship with her recently released father as she excels in the world of women’s boxing.

      When finding a home in women’s boxing, a reckless young offender must confront her released ex-con father in order to become a true champion.

      Other keywords that came to mind: Rematch (with her father) and TKO trauma.

          Opinion: Since your protag is an “offender” we can assume flaws like being reckless. With “Rise Above” being a boxing thang how about “When finding a home in women’s boxing, a rising young offender …” you get the idea 😊
