Incomplete logline. This reads almost like a tagline (that which appears at the top or bottom of a movie 1-sheet poster.

Write something that explains to me why I should want to dedicate 2 hours of my time to experience your story. Or, even better, why a filmmaker would want to invest in making your story (after he buys your script.)

The objective goal is vague. And as the dramatic subject is hardly unique. ?There are 10,001 scripts written every year about someone who is looking for love. ?What makes this one different from the other 10,000 scripts?

A logline needs to specific, about the protagonist’s pursuit of a specific person and about a specific external, objective obstacle that stands in his way. ? Like ?Romeo & Juliet; ?they are star-crossed lovers because of an insurmountable obstacle that stands between them and living happily ever after, their feuding families.

And introversion is an internal subjective issue. ?Because film is a visual medium, loglines are of necessity about external, objective issues — people, places, objects, action, ?events that can be visualized. ? (What’s the visual on introversion?)

      >>>>An idealistic young actor tries to create the world around him as if it were his own movie.

Why? ?What’s the inciting incident that causes him to attempt this course of action?

And what’s so idealistic about trying to “script” real life to conform to the ?standards of an immature and self-centered control freak? ?Why would a viewing audience want to root for him to succeed?

Is this the same movie idea as your other post? Seems similar. If so, please try to keep them in the same thread.
