My example is a more streamlined version, which helps to minimize some of the nonessential items like, “Despite being assaulted,” “being sent to hell by the Christian community who bashed him.” My logline example still needs work, but it should help you to start thinking about the core issues, which are his struggles with his sexuality and the conflict.
Example: As a young African American comes to terms with his bi-sexuality, he must find a way to gain his family and church’s acceptance or be excommunicated.
I hope this helps.
It’s a little vague. Has he actually been sent to hell, hinting that this may be a supernatural film? How does he “battle” with his family? Do they argue, as in a heavy family drama? What must he do or accomplish by the films end?
