“Minimal social media popularity” – I’d be the first to die in this future.

Otherwise, the log gets the gist across. Just not much different going on here.

Who? cares about the mystery?? The story hook is a future where it’s illegal not to participate in online social media.? I want to know about “crimes” that arise from not participating.?

The logline amounts to a bait and switch.? It sets up a very interesting situation with all kinds of unique plot possibilities– than switches to a quotidian? plot problem.? ?By quotidian I mean the kidnapping? could occur in 1,001 other possible worlds. It? is not a crime unique to this “Braveless New World” where people must pursue getting “likes” whether they like it or not.

The crime he wants to solve does not seem unique to and derived from the story world set up in the logline.? ?What is there about this kidnapping that is utterly unique, that could occur only in this “Braveless New World”?

I think that It is an amazing concept, but i think that it would be a lot more interesting to have some group who cheats the system.

Im totally agree with dpg, that world could be interesting but the conflict needs to be something original. In Minority Report he has to discover why himself is going to kill somebody, thats a conflict unique in that world.

Im also curious about the social media of the alcoholic policeman, does he has de minimun social media popularity?

As slappymctaco says i think it would be interesting to have people who cheat the system, maybe people who live out of the system, people who are rejected by society…the cheaters could also be the goverment…

Think deeply in the world, find a unique conflict that can explain by itself a lot of that society.

I sure there are good stories in that world! Godd luck!

This is great feedback… and when to think of it, you’re right… the kidnapping angle doesn’t fit all that much with the setting.? I drew some inspiration from a mix of Fahrenheit 451, Logan’s Run and The Men Who Knew Too Much… I’ll come up with a better conflict an circle back…?Thanks again for your help.
