In late nineteenth century America a Ghanaian former slave seeks revenge for the murder of his wife and child; he must team up with his former owner, a retired bounty hunter trying to renounce his violent past.

This is a nice pitch but not a story.

I wouldn?t know what I was going to be involved in. A full western with a flash forward or that mimics a modern shooting. Or a modern shooting story with flashbacks to exactly the same events in the old west.

You can do this in a pitch when there is a chance for a conversation. But a logline is a single shot.
