I like this idea…it’s a good fish out of water story and itll be interesting to see how his drug dealer ethics apply to the product development world. 🙂

Is this movie about his struggles in developing the product and his product becomes a best seller at the end of the movie? Or does he achieve that early on? If so, what happens next?

Very good logline; I don’t even see the need for the “ridiculed by friends after a meltdown” part, as it adds nothing of value to the logline. It’s the inciting incident, but I don’t think it’s necessary in the prime real estate of the logline verbage.

You should define the product a bit more, however. If he develops a frisbee, that’s not interesting. Hopefully the drug he develops is a direct irony of being bi-polar. That’s the trick…

      Good luck!

Interesting logline. The phrase ‘finds his inner genius’ is the key to this story and we need to know how and why to make us interested in seeing this film. Why does he have an inner genius? It feels like a comedy but you need to clarify this more in the logline.
