This doesn’t describe a plot. In fact it reads like the entire thing is only the inciting incident. What does this filmmaker do as a result of what the inciting incident?

You sure you have the rights to do a Ben Afflack bio? Haha

Try writing into this log that the Protag must decide between the girl or the comeback.

Dkpough1 put his finger on it: ?the logline describes a situation, a messy inciting incident, but not a plot.

The nutshell: The mogul and the director were raised together, practically. They’re the sons of a famed movie mogul and a premiere director but nurtured by Hollywood’s most revered Fixer. They did everything together and they fell in love with the same woman, the star of their pictures. But where the mogul’s charisma and the want for love made him a magnet (his desire is to have his legacy), the director wants a fame that eclipses everybody else’s, including the wife he feels he discovered. As their success grows, the director’s mental instability becomes more obvious. The mogul fires the director because he’s setting them back with his tyrannical delusions of grandeur. So the movie is all about the director’s irrational behavior coping with the need to prove to his wife and friend that he is a genius, that they’re nothing without his works. Almost like Kanye West level of deranged.
