His being spiritual is interesting but merely a detail in the logline, since it doesn’t contribute to the Inciting Event-Character-Goal dynamic
Looks like you have a potential story, which could benefit from the specificity of the “folklore” and the “curse” and his/her “destiny”
Try and express it in this simple format below:
“This particular event forces this particular character towards this particular goal”
, focusing mainly on how the scientist’s involvement in this mystery leads him to his objective goal
It tells us a scientist becomes a part of this mystery
Then leaves us hanging there..
This does sound like an interesting story.? I see it more as a fantasy rather than horror (which is the genre you put it in). The logline is a tad long and there is information that we really don’t need. You don’t need to write “paranormal” cases or name the type of families.
Also, I’d like to know more about her destiny. Is it to undo the curse that is set to the “Dragon” and “Fairy” families?
If it is, perhaps the logline could be something like:
“A spiritual scientist is pulled into a mysterious, fantasy-filled world where she must undo a curse that has plagued two families.”
