Title: Dead Man’s Day

To make his life-long dream of becoming a detective a reality, an impulsive and excitable cop must escort a convict on his “Dead Man’s Day”, a day of chaperoned freedom for death row inmates before their execution. His calculated ward, though, will stop at nothing to avenge the man he was framed for killing.

Hi phatiusmcdoogal,
Below is my understanding of your proposed logline:
However, there are parts that are not clear (in terms of conflict).
Is this close to what you are trying to say?
To consolidate his position as a homicide detective, a sharp-witted cop must escort (escort where? from what? Why does the convict need escorting?) a death row inmate while his (calculated ward? What is that?) prosecutors are determined to avenge a man they claim he killed.
I hope this helps
Thanks so much for the feedback! This is a really helpful way to get it – getting your understanding of it. Lets me know it’s not clear enough. Thanks again!
