‘male musicians’ sounds a bit clunky and is only tempered a little when reading on.
I am trying to think of an alternative way that you could say that they are men…

      perhaps:

“When two men witness a Chicago shootout, as musicians they must travel by train disguised as show girls to evade capture”

No i believe that it is a opportunity to write up your favourite Classic movie log lines……
Billy Wilders script obviousley is way ahead of it’s time.
Jack lennon and Dean Martin are hilarious.
      Cheers…….The Original.

Great read by the way I have a copy of the original production script at home and have read it many times.

About the logline best to make you characters more active by stating that they witnessed as apposed to witnessed by.

After two musicians witness a mob massacre they disguise themselves as women and flee to Florida as part of an all woman band to stay alive.
