Leaning towards:
“A meek climate activist sets out to save her beloved eco-metropolis when the newly appointed mayor trades the city natural resources for economic growth”
I understand there’s an ecological downside to foreign trade, but I didn’t immediately equate the baddie mayor’s intent as the destruction of their environment. Thus, I broke it down to its common denominator for readability purposes.
With her meek start, I kept the mobilized eco-force out as I considered it a “B” story plot.
