If it’s a logline for a short then it seems to me the logline should be framed in terms of what he must do NOW in the present tense of the story to resolve the moral and legal implications of the crime he committed in the past.?? And it was a crime, no matter how he rationalizes it. In the #MeToo Era, the bully-blackmailer seems to be the dramatic nemesis he deserves.

What is a past abuser? Do you mean someone who knows a secret of the past or someone who used to abuse him in the past? The first makes more sense, but it should be defined better, like “an old schoolmate” or “an old college mate” etc. The second one also makes sense, but does it belong to a story about him sleeping with an underaged girl?
Which brings us to the most important part: sleeping with an underaged girl is a crime. Its perpetrator should worry about prison, not just about losing his crush.
Moreover, how are we to empathise with someone who has committed it?
Is the story “I know what you did last summer” meets Roman Polanski?
“Past abuser” = bully (?)
How does being blackmailed motivate him to pursue his crush?? Or is it rather the case that being blackmailed is the primary complication? the major threat to his pursuit rather than the inciting incident?? And how old was he when he slept with the minor?
