Actually the IMDB summary does include a vital word – “underground”… at the moment the logline reads as thought it could all be above board.

I take the heterodoxic position that the IMDB summary is good enough to serve as a pitching logline because it’s? shorter and it sells the sizzle.? The posted logline, because it describes more of the steak could serve as a development logline.? (I guess; I haven’t seen the series yet.)

      I love ‘Sex Education’.

One thing that is unclear in your logline is the wording. ‘Together’? comes across as the ‘sexually repressed teenager’, the ‘sex therapist mother’ and the ‘savvy high school classmate’ running the business as a trio, whereas it’s only Otis and Maeve

I agree with Trix that adding the “crush” would add a whole new dimension to this. The comedic and dramatic potential from having a guy talking about sex with or around his crush every day is brilliant.

Sexually repressed is definitely the right character flaw for Otis. The first time we see Otis is when he’s attempting to fool his mum with his faux masturbatory antics (there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say) and the last time is him overcoming his repression… pun intended. That’s how an arc should work!!

My only other comment would be there isn’t an objective goal stated. The financial reward is implied but, if I remember correctly, they did because they wanted to help their fellow students due to the lack of decent advice in the curriculum.

When a sexually repressed teenager with a sex therapist mother gives solid sex advice to a classmate, along with his money-savvy?high-school?crush, he starts a sex therapy business to educate students in areas lacking in the flaccid curriculum.?

I think this expands slightly and hints towards an antagonist – the establishment.

I love this series. I think it’s the best show since Breaking Bad!

LOL – ?great series… is your logline missing Otis’s crush on Maeve? ?(Maybe “money savvy high school crush”? ?To me this was his guiding force, not money (that was hers). ?He was also socially awkward but I see why sexually repressed is the irony of having a sex therapist parent.
