      Best I can do with so many elements.

      The revised version is overloaded with too much baggage, too many goals.

      Foxtro25’s rewrite is better.? Or focus on fulfilling her dying mother’s last wish.? In which case, you need specify what it is.

      Fulfilling a mother’s dying wish is more likely to emotionally connect with an audience than winning a contest.

      To fulfil her mum?s dying wish a xxx girl enters her robot in a competition coming up against her mentor who stole her technology.

      To prove she is the inventor of world changing tech a girl enters her robot in an international competition against her mentor who stole the technology.

      After her mentor steals technology she has developed a girl enters her robot in a competition to prove …. and expose her mentor.
