Later they realize that the “virus” was a ruse to set them against each other
it’s their employer who wants them “offline”, to initiate “PROJECT REBOOT” [also film title]
It was their parents (they are brothers!) who shaped the network
Then planted it in them to protect it from the employer (much like the ninetails sealed in naruto, but rendering them cyborgs)
Not that it matters, but in Act III..
One or them decides to die (fake his death)
And together they defeat their employer!
The film resolves with their brotherhood restored,
they undergo an operation to physicalize (is that a word?) the server & rule it together.
I still don’t quite understand the concept, even with Take II. ?What is so important about this server? ?We may need to have more context. ?Is this server made by the same company who made them or employs them? ?Is this server important to their world and why have they been hired to reset it? ?There is potential here, I htink the story needs refining. ?This is a brother/twin/family saga essentially? ?Those emotional stakes need to be in the pitch logline.
Take II
When two penniless bionics realize that the server they were hired to reset is located in both of them, they turn against each other to receive the pay
