“When a charismatic Russian politician is murdered, an American documentary filmmaker determines to discover the truth, even though powerful members of the ruling party will stop at nothing to keep the secret buried.”
Richiev wrote a good version.
I agree that you should focus your “documentary” on the “disover the truth” part as your main goal, because your first version suggests “betraying Boris” which doesn’t make sense for me, as the “truth” about Boris Nemzow’s murder was never brought to light. I watched some documentaries about Nemzow and also read books about Russian politics and himself, and there are many theories out there as to whom is behind his murder. So, again, focus on the finding the truth part is my suggestion.
>>>by extorting the truth
??? What is that supposed to mean? The last sentence is confusing; I don’t know what to make of it.
What is the focus of the documentary? On the controversial life and mysterious death of Nemzow? Or the perilous search for evidence to prove who was ultimately behind his assassination. (Putin?)
Several documentaries have already been done on Nemzow. Why is there a need for another documentary? What makes this one different?
